Master of Reality is the third studio album, released on July 21, 1971. Reached #8 on the U.S. album chart, immediately going gold. It was Black Sabbath’s first album to debut in the Top 10. Also their first album to feature the heavier new sound created by dropping the tuning three semi-tones below the standard E, thus creating the premise for what would become known as the stoner rock sound.

The third studio album from Black Sabbath, Master of Reality, gets a deluxe 2LP and 2CD treatment. The pioneering heavy metal group’s debut is bolstered by alternative and instrumental bonus tracks on the 2 disc and 2LP vinyl deluxe versions.
