Meg, Reuben, "Bassist" and "Drummer" did a fabulous acoustic set (despite some of them being a bit poorly) that really showcased the strength of their songs. They were launching their new EP She/ Grey Day Machine, available on cassette and CD.

The supremely talented Mr Hickox (with guitarist Shez Sheridan) paid us a visit to sing songs from his brilliant album "Monsters of the Deep", tell some funny stories, and generally be very lovely. He asked us not to film it (to keep it an intimate and personal experience for the audience) , so you'll have to take our word for it that he was ace, and watch this video here instead:

Jake and John got 2017 off to a start and rocked the shop with their own distinctive take on blues rock.

Stephen is many things. He's a professional drummer (for Graham Coxon among many others), he runs a studio, he is the brother of a friend of a friend of the shop. But most importantly he is a stunningly original, slightly mad, singer-songwriter. His album "Bonjour Poulet" is a highlight of 2017 already. Anyway, he came in with guitars and keyboards and sung us some songs on his way to doing a gig at Ramsgate Music Hall.

Leonie is a travelling troubadour folk singer, beloved by the likes of Cerys Matthews, Syd Arthur and us. She did a fabulous albums of collaborations called "Collaborations" and popped in on a Sunday lunchtime to sing us songs from it, all solo and acoustic. And it was magical!

SYD ARTHUR 22/10/17

We were privileged (and kind of lucky) to have Canterbury's biggest and best band Syd Arthur instore on just our second trading Saturday. They did a small record shop tour (Vinylstore Jr, Smugglers in Deal, Gatefield Sounds in Whitstable, Rough Trade etc) to promote their Apricity LP . The band were fabulous and the shop was overflowing onto the street.
